Today, procrastination is not an option!

Refer to (Revelation 22:12).

Make it personal.

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
Forgive me Father for I have sinned…

Denial – maintaining fixed false belief even when confronted; refusal to admit the truth or reality of a statement, charge or situation; an assertion that something said, believed, alleged, etc., is false.

Some of us may have a belief system that translates into denial.

Even though I did do wrong—”if you didn’t see me do it, I didn’t! You didn’t see me, so I didn’t and I’m sticking to that!”—is what we may tell ourselves! We may even feel a certain type of satisfaction in this one-sided game.

But, sin without consequences is equivalent to doing the same thing the same way and expecting different results—”Insanity.”

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 KJV).

“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” (Galatians 7:7-8 ESV).

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
I definitely choose You…

Perception – the ability to see, hear, or become aware of something through the senses or the mind; the way you think about or understand someone or something.

“He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.” (Romans 2:6-8 ESV).

Our perception more than likely, will influence our decisions, and most often determines the choices we make—but what we may fail to realize is the bottom line—the choices we make are a reflection of the image we have of ourselves—either consciously or subconsciously.

“Wisdom rests in the heart of a man of understanding, but it makes itself known even in the midst of fools.” (Proverbs 14:33 ESV).

“A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.”
(Proverbs 29:11 KJV).

We must be mindful. Our decisions are a reflection of ourselves.

So a key question to ask ourselves: “What is my decision… is it one of wisdom or foolishness?”

Agape love – that God love; that self-sacrificing love,
Deborah

You are my mentor…

Hope – a feeling of expectation for a certain thing to happen; to want something to happen or be true and think that it could happen or be true; to cherish a desire with anticipation.

Sometimes it may seem that we don’t have any faith or hope in God because of our actions. And because of said actions, we may be opening up the door for the following things to become manifested in our lives:

• We may not recognize God’s mighty works in our lives and will literally go through life thinking we are lucky or unlucky; but as believers we need to learn that we don’t do luck, we do Jesus.
• God may not trust us with certain things because we won’t trust ourselves; we feel hopeless.
• We may credit everything to man, therefore the belief that we are not accountable to God is very real even though God gives man his gifts, talents, and abilities.

We need to remember God will meet us where our faith is… Let’s increase our faith by studying the Bible, praying to God, worshipping Him, spending quality time with Him, and thanking Him through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” (Colossians 3:16-17 NLT).

“And this proves that faith comes from a Message heard, and that the Message comes through its having been spoken by Christ.” (Roman 10:17 WNT).

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
You are my retreat…

Boldly – not hesitating or fearful in the face of actual or possible danger or rebuff; courageous and daring; confident; strong.

Trying to do the right thing in such a wrong world takes faith. Faith: the final frontier to boldly go where few have ever gone before.

Ya Gotta Believe…

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.” (Romans 5:1-2 NLT).

“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” (Ephesians 3:12 NIV).

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.” (Matthew 7:14 NLT).

Today, procrastination is not an option!

Refer to (Revelation 22:12).

Make it personal.

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
You alone give me the ability to shut me down, and turn You on in me…

Battlefield – a place or situation of strife or conflict; an area of contention, disagreement, or hostile opposition.

The battlefield of our faith is oftentimes in our minds.

Sometimes we hear a lot of noise in our head, and our faith in Jesus Christ—what He teaches us, what He says we can accomplish, and how we act—gets compromised. That noise—something a hater may have done to us, something that may have offended us, something that happened years ago and we can’t seem to let it go, or worse something we told ourselves that continues to rage a war against and inside us.

Let’s not hesitate to tell ourselves to shut up. And we do have to be that firm, harsh, and disgusted with the noise. We may even have to put a curse word in between shut and up to really shake ourselves up because our faith depends on being able to shut the negative voice, people, place, or thing down. Shut “it” down already! Lift Jesus and what he teaches in us up, no matter the cost.

“as for me, I will rejoice in the LORD. I will find my joy in the God who delivers me. The LORD God is my strength— he will make my feet like those of a deer, equipping me to tread on my mountain heights.” (Habakkuk 3:18-19 ISV).

“Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” (Mark 11:22-25 NLT).

We can’t afford to let our faith in God be compromised any longer. We have to remember the above scripture, paying close attention to the “But’s.”

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
Because of You, I am not the walking dead…

Excuse – a reason or explanation put forward to defend or justify a fault or offense; seek to remove the blame of; a plea offered to release from an obligation or promise; the use of deception especially to hide, avoid, or get something.

Sometimes, some of us make every excuse in the book—excuse after excuse—to not do something we know we need to do.

And then we wonder and may literally ask ourselves: why am I where I’m at in my life? As if we are clueless and believe others are at fault—another excuse to avoid our own behavior.

“Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’; for to all to whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.” …” (Jeremiah 1:4-10 ESV).

We need to tell ourselves, enough already! Enough with the excuses. We have God with us. God is on our side, we can do whatever we set out to do in Him through Jesus Christ, who is in us.

“being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,” (Colossians 1:11 NIV).

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
Instill in me the faith You want me to have…

Positive – Optimistic or constructive; Not disparaging or malicious.

Sometimes we may forget our faith is destroyed little by little when we speak words of doubt. And as people of integrity, our word is all we have. So, with as much physical effort and determination as possible, let’s always speak positive words into our lives and in the lives of others as well. If/when we don’t have something positive to say—yet need to say something—let’s slow down and think about it. There are ways to turn a negative statement into a positive one. Better yet, let’s talk to God about it. Let’s ask Him for the words to speak…

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:29-32 NIV).

“Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.” (Proverbs 13:3 NLT).

Continue – persist in an activity or process; to do something without stopping; to remain active or in existence without changing.

As we continue to believe, to speak, to act by walking in the faithful fact that our God given purpose must be fulfilled in this lifetime, it will be in Jesus.

Eventually God will search your heart as you continue to pray for guidance and His Holy Spirit will open your eyes to the way in which you should go.

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12 ESV).

We got this, but we can’t do it alone—and we don’t “have” to. All we “have” to do is stay in and focused on Jesus to not get distracted. We must stay focused…

“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5 NIV).

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
The biggest truth in my life…

Progressive – happening or developing gradually or in stages; proceeding step by step; favoring or advocating progress, change, improvement, or reform, as opposed to wishing to maintain things as they are.

God never reveals His entire plan for our lives all at once. We can’t handle it. He gives us step by step revelation in stages. Our work is never done. What and who we can still become requires progressive revelation from God.

“There is so much more I want to tell you, but you can’t bear it now.”
(John 16:12 NLT).

“I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, because you weren’t ready for it. And you’re still not ready! (1 Corinthians 3:2 ISV).

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him–these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”
(1 Corinthians 2:9-10 NIV).

Good Morning Holy Spirit…
My ultimate resource in daily living…

Sift – examine (something) thoroughly so as to isolate that which is most important or useful; to separate or scatter; to go through (something) very carefully in order to find something valuable.

The Bible (which tells it like it is, but can be rough at times—but life is rough, at times.) defines “The Flesh” as the part of us alienated from God.

If we let our minds be led by our flesh, it will strip us of our self-worth, our hope, our faith, then it will ultimately sift us like wheat. Let’s pay attention to our thoughts, as well as whom we are following at all times.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” (John 2:15-17 ESV).

“The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” (Romans 8:6 NIV).
